　　一、逆译
　　英语句子和汉语句子的表达顺序并非完全相同，在大多数情况下，英语句子与汉语句子在表达相同的意思时在表述顺序上有很大差异，有时甚至完全相反，翻译公司的译者此时就可以采用逆译进行翻译，也就是逆着原文顺序从后向前译。例如：

　　There is no agreement whether methodology refers to the concepts peculiar to historical work in general or to the research techniques appropriate to the various branches of historical inquiry.
　　所谓方法论是指一般的历史研究中的特有概念，还是指历史研究中各个具体领域 适用的研究手段，人们对此意见不一。
　　Safety concerns over mobile phones have grown as more people rely on them for
　　everyday communication, although the evidence to date has given the technology a clean bill of health when it comes to serious conditions like brain cancer.
　　虽然迄今为止没有证据能证明手机会导致脑癌等重大疾病，但是由于越来越多的 人依靠手机进行日常通信，因而手机安全问题也日益受到关注。

　　二、分译
　　分译又称“拆译”，是指将英语句子中某些成分（如词、词组或从句）从句子中 拆出来另行处理，这样不仅利于句子的总体安排，也便于突出重点。例如：
　　Television, it is often said, keeps one informed about current events, allows one to follow the latest developments in science and politics, and offers an endless series of programs which are both instructive and entertaining.
　　人们常说，通过电视可以了解时事，掌握科学和政治的最新动态。从电视里还可 以看到既有教育意义又有娱乐性的新节目。
　　While the present century in its teens, and on one sunshiny morning in June, there drove up to the great iron gate of Miss Pinkerton’s academy for young ladies, on Cheswick Mall, a large family coach with two fat horses in blazing harness, driven by a fat coachman in a three-cornered hat and wig, at the rate of four miles an hour.
