       一、方式状语从句

　　作为专业翻译公司的译者知道，在英语方式状语从句常用的连词有:as,as if,just as,as though等。从句位置 一般都后置。汉语常用的连词有：如同、好像、宛如、仿佛、正如、像……似的、 像……那样等。
　　1.The boys jumped on their blankets as they were told to kill the locusts.
　　孩子们按照吩咐在毯子上蹦跳，来踩死蝗虫。

　　2.There was a pause at the other end as if someone was searching through a list.

　　二、比较状语从句
　　英语比较状语从句常用的连词有 :as …as，not so …as，more …than，less …than, the more…the more等。中文的翻译公司的译者知道汉语常用的连词有：“如同一样” “不及”“不如……”“比……更”“劣于……”“越……越……”等。
　　1.The longer the period, the higher the interest rate.
　　存期越长，利率越高。
　　2.In general, the more bags the ladies carry, the better organized they are to cope with life on the streets.
　　一般来说，这些女士们携带的袋子越多，她们应付街头流浪生活的能力就越强。
　　3.The sooner, the better.
　　越快（早），越好。
　　4.In fact,there is almost as much plant life in the sea as there is on land. 事实上，海洋里植物种类之多几乎像陆地上一样。
　　5.She was as kind as the woodcutter himself.
　　她像樵夫本人一样善良。

　　6.Lesson Ten is not so difficult as Lesson Nine.
　　第十课不像第九课那么难。
　　7.The number of students in your class is less than ours.
　　你班上的学生比我班上少。
　　8.This book is better than any others in the box.

　　9.I should thank you rather than you thank me.
