英语宾语从句的翻译

　　一、语序不变
　　如果宾语从句位于谓语动词之后，翻译公司的译者在翻译时语序不变。
　　例 1 ： Can you tell me what my mother talked with you last night?
　　译文：你能告诉我昨天晚上我母亲和你谈了些什么吗？
　　例 2： This shows that something unexpected may have turned up.
　　译文:这表明可能出了意外情况。
　　例 3 : Some philosophers argue that rights exist only within a social contract，as part of an exchange of duties and entitlements.
　　译文：一些哲学家认为，权力只存在于社会契约中，是责任与权益相交换的 一部分。

　　二、宾语从句前置
　　英语中，有时为了强调，会将宾语从句置于句首，专业翻译公司的译者翻译成汉语时，为达到同样 的修辞效果，也可将宾语从句前置。
　　例 1：Whether you love it or not,I don^ care.
　　译文:你喜欢不喜欢，我可不管。
　　例 2 ： What I have heard I never forget.
　　译文:我听过的话，从不会忘记。
　　例3 ： What they had been asked to do in half a month,they finished in a week.

       译文：让他们半个月做完的事，他们一周就完成了 。
　　三、it作形式宾语
　　代词it常作形式宾语，北京翻译公司的译者翻译成汉语时，一般情况下语序不变，it不译。
　　例 1 ：I made it clear to them that they had to hand in their papers before 10 o’clock in the morning.
　　译文:我向他们讲清楚了，他们必须在上午十点前交卷。

      例 2 : l leave it to your own judgment whether you should accept his gift.
　　译文:我让你自己判断该不该接受他的礼物。
　　例 3： We think it certain that Chinese does have a considerable influence upon Japanese.
　　译文:我们认为汉语确实对日语有很大影响。
　　但有时为了强调，也可将宾语从句前置。

　　例 4：I regard it as an honor that I have been elected to be a representative.

       译文:被选为代表，我感到光荣。
　　例 5 ： Anyhow,I owe it to you that I am here.
　　译文：不管怎么说，我现在能在这儿，全靠你。
　　例 6： We think it true that the election in America is mainly a contest between the two big parties,the Democratic and the Republic.
　　译文：美国大选主要是民主党和共和党两大政党之间的竞争，我们认为确实 如此。
