一、语序类
1.顺译法和逆译法
英语时间状语可前可后，不仅如此英语在表达结果、条件、说明等定语从句、状语从句时 也很灵活，既可以先述也可以后述。而汉语表达往往是按时间或逻辑的顺序进行的，因此，顺 译法也罢逆译法也罢，其实都是为了与汉语的习惯一致。翻译公司的译者在英语表达与汉语一致的就是顺译，相反的则是逆译。如：He deposits money.他存钱。（顺译法）
We tend to open US dollar account at your New York Branch at the end of this year.主谓宾状（地点）状（时间）
我们准备于今年年底在你纽约分行开立一个美元账户。
主状（时间）状（地点）谓宾
显而易见，英汉两种语言的语序不一样，大多数情况下，英汉对译时各种句子成分的顺序 要改变，但一定要按各自的语法习惯去排列，否则句子就不通顺。
2.改变说法
在许多情况下，把表示否定的形容词no译成副词，不仅仅改变了词性，而且必须提高它 的位置，如：
Banks assume no liability or responsibility for the consequence arising out of delay and/or loss in transit of any messages, letters, or documents.
任何通知、函件或单据因投递迟误和/或在邮寄途中遗失，银行概不承担责任和义务。
这句不能译成：对于……，银行承担没有义务和责任。因此，在翻译此类句子时，必须仔 细琢磨，。加工处理，避免含混不清或误解。
二、组合类
1.分句法
有些句子由于“联系词”的联系，虽在形式上是一个句子，但句子许多成分意义上是独立 的。将它们断开分成短句是完全可以的。断开的位置一般可选在这些联系词处。联系词通常由 关系代词、关系副词、独立副词、伴随动词等担任，如：The certificates （FRCE-floating rate certificate of deposit）， which are fully negotiable, constitute unsecured obligations of the issuing bank and rank pari passu with other deposits of the bank.（一句）
浮动利率存单完全可以流通。这就是发行银行承担了未获担保而支付的义务。此种承拘与 银行的其他存款具有同等地位。（三句）
2.合句法
形式上为两个句子，但意思紧密相关，只要译文不显得冗长，是可以合译成一个句子的。 如：I am going to Shanghai by air. I like flying.（两句）
我乘飞机去上海，我喜欢飞行。（一句，后半句说明为何坐飞机去）
反过来汉译英也可以合并处理。如：
今年三月，我们张副行长访问贵行期间，提出我行在贵国设立分行的口头申请。当时贵方 表示同意。后因我方原因，未能及时联系……
During his visit to your fine bank in March this year our EVP Zhang orally applied to you for setting up a branch in your esteemed country and you expressed your consent thereto. Further contact was however suspended for some reasons on our part…
此译文将前两句合并，是对方己同意这一点得强调。
